Aims of the conference:

The aim of the conference is to present results of the hydrological research at the Institute of Hydrology,

as well as in Slovakia and abroad.

Conference topics:

1.     Monitoring and modelling - Detection of climate variability and climate change in the hydrological regime in Slovakia; Hydrological and meteorological

extremes, surface water regime in mountain basins.

2.     Hydrology and water quality - Mathematical modelling of the regime and flow of the subsurface water in interaction with the surface water.

Movement of soluble substances in surface and subsurface waters. Methods of the transport characteristics determination in surface

and subsurface waters.

3.     Transport of mass and energy within the soil-plant-atmosphere system (SPAS) - Mathematical and physical models of the water and solutes

movement in SPAS. Methods of the transport characteristics determination in SPAS.

4.     Characteristics of the ground and soil water regime in the broader environmental context - Impacts of the climate change, land use change,

hydrophobicity of the upper soil layer and soil additives on the soil water regime. Subsurface water regime in the lowland areas.
